Thoughts from Acorn Ridge

How precious her love for us. We knew we would love her no matter what, but to see her return that love and to grow in her trust is so comforting. I write a thousand words everyday in my mind, many thoughts on her past, her birth, what her future may have been. Looking into her eyes everyday is changing us in so many ways. I've got so many journal entries, but don't quite know where to begin. Maybe I'll figure out just how to express my discoveries, or maybe you can give me some suggestions. What would you like to know about this adoption journey? Why did we follow this adoption path? Why China? What was her life like prior? What would have been? I'm sure I'll spend many days asking and reasking myself the same questions. But does anyone else want to hear about it? If you do, then I will.

Tri,
I absolutely love that pic....it is a picture of pure innocense. She is so lucky to have found a family like yours! On another note, I did not get the dresses in the mail as hoped - I'm so sorry - this has been a hurried week, but will get them to you soon.
Have fun this weekend with your entire "new" family :-)
Love you,
Amy

Mike and Katri, I have been thoroughly engrossed in your account of your journey to find Mia. I can hear God's leadership in everything you say. You have a great beginning for a wonderful book about your search for Mia and the difference that a Christian family can make in the life of a child such as she. I read a lot of your entries to Bill and he is just as engrossed as I am. May God continue to bless you and guide you as you love this precious little girl who now has a wonderful future in front of her. By all means keep writing. God will bless and multiply your experience to all who read of your adventure. Love, Aunt Sylvia

I loved reading these latest posts. Mia is so sweet. Such an innocent, angelic face! Who is more blessed? No way to answer that question. We can't wait to see her!

Katri- This journey has been amazing and am sure it has given many hope while restoring faith in miracles for others. I think that your journal is a priceless thing that Mia will treasure. While I have followed like so many and was on pins/needles countless times until you all were safely stateside...and would miss the rest of the story...I still feel that it should be Mia's choice one day to
share it or not. You all are so blessed and thank you for sharing it with us. As I have said...not sure who is the luckiest..continue to write for your little girl...what a gift!
